On the occasion of the grand opening of the Nikolaus Harnoncourt Zentrum at the Bruckner University on 3 May 2024 in St. Georgen im Attergau, the exhibition about Nikolaus and Alice Harnoncourt was shown for the first time in the local music school.

Curated by Marie-Theres Arnbom, it portrays the couple’s life together with the pioneering journey of the “explorer community”. For the first time, insights into their huge and extensive archive are accessible to the public. You can follow the Harnoncourts’ working methods and their musical development. Find out more about their groundbreaking musical discoveries and their passionate dedication to encouraging young people. The exhibition is aimed at music lovers of all ages, amateurs and experts alike.

The exhibition was on display in St. Georgen from May 3 to September 15 2024 and then moved to the foyer of the Anton Bruckner University in Linz from October 21 to January 31st 2025.
