Schumann Concertos: Harnoncourt, Argerich, and Kremer—Now on Vinyl!

On April 10, the legendary recording of Robert Schumann’s piano and violin concertos—featuring Martha Argerich, Gidon Kremer, and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe under the baton of Nikolaus Harnoncourt—will be released for the first time on a double-LP set by Warner Classics.

In the mid-1950s, an apartment at Josefstädter Straße 17 in Vienna became the birthplace of a musical revolution: it was here that Alice and Nikolaus Harnoncourt, together with like-minded individuals, founded Concentus Musicus. Free admission!

The Nikolaus Harnoncourt Zentrum remains affiliated with the Anton Bruckner University in Linz, but will be located in new university premises together with other departments from 1 September 2025. You can now find us at Knabenseminarstrasse 2, 4040 Linz.We look forward to your visit!
