Exhibition at University of Arts Berlin

Our exhibition “Alice and Nikolaus Harnoncourt – Music Is a Language” will be on view from May 30 to July 20, 2026, in the foyer of the concert hall at the Berlin University of the Arts. It will be presented as part of the Crescendo Festival, whose theme this year is “Counter-Tones.” Admission is free, and the exhibition is open to the public starting one hour before the start of each event.

New Exhibition: “The Harnoncourts and Concentus Musicus - the founding years at Josefstadt 1953-1969”
February 26 - January 20, 2027 in Vienna

In the mid-1950s, an apartment at Josefstädter Straße 17 in Vienna became the birthplace of a musical revolution: it was here that Alice and Nikolaus Harnoncourt, together with like-minded individuals, founded Concentus Musicus. Free admission!

The Nikolaus Harnoncourt Zentrum remains affiliated with the Anton Bruckner University in Linz, but will be located in new university premises together with other departments from 1 September 2025. You can now find us at Knabenseminarstrasse 2, 4040 Linz.We look forward to your visit!
